Subject: Weekend Karaoke DJ and his karaoke machine for the insurance policies
The description below explain the premises general liability situation of the DJ. We are recommending that no further premium charge be added for this negligible hazard. -Subcontractors-No traditional subs. Weekly Karaoke DJ/Tech is paid from the nightly concessions. [Per telecon with member available to take the phone call. Weekend Karaoke DJ: Weekly operation of machine. No response on the make/model/inspection of the machine by the DJ or the lodge.
[If similar to the one that my granddaughter received for XMas, it's a small podium with USB portals that can be used to connect to a video screen that would show the lyrics]
The workers compensation exposure is defined as such:
The DJ's duties arguably could be labeled as a subcontractor, since his use as a karaoke DJ provides revenue for the Lodge. As it is assumed that the DJ is paid in cash from the concessions, there would be no particular ledger line item beyond part of the night's expenses.
